Description: Little Radical Theatrics, Inc. proudly presents its Spring 2013 production of "Xanadu: The Musical." Book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Based on the Universal Pictures Film screenplay by Richard Danus and Marc Rubel. Directed by Michael J. Mirra, with musical direction by Shoshana Seid-Green, and choreographed by Carrie Silvernail. "Fun for everyone from age 5-95!" A musical spoof of the cult classic movie of the same name, "Xanadu: The Musical" follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980, on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to create the greatest artistic achievement of all time: a roller-disco. When Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos abounds. This hilarious, roller skating romp about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, interwoven by a moving, electrifying book of endless fun penned by one of Broadway's master storytellers, Douglas Carter Beane. You'll want to keep the music in your head, and Xanadu in your heart, forever! Starring Ashley Wool as Clio/Kira, Denis Zepeda as Sonny, Jeffrey Zitofsky as Danny Maguire/Zeus, Regina Singel as Calliope/ Aphrodite, Stephanie Lourenco as Melpomene/Medusa, Stephanie Schleicher as Erato/Siren/40's Singer/Eros/Hera, Jacob Schilling as Terpsicore/Siren/80's Singer/Hermes/Centaur, Drew Torkelson as Thalia/Siren/Young Danny/80's Singer/Cyclops, Kristen Trahan as Euterpe/Siren/40's Singer/Thetis.
