Description: Heart Gallery NYC is a not-for-profit organization that works to raise awareness about foster care and find loving and supportive "forever families" for children in foster care. Renowned photographers volunteer their time and talents, creating beautiful images of the children that we exhibit in high-traffic areas, such as Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal, and Atlantic Terminal. Often, people see the portrait of a child and feel a strong connection, which leads to adoption. May is National Foster Care Month. There are nearly 13,000 foster children in New York City alone and every child deserves a secure home and a loving family. In this spirit, on May 7, a new Heart Gallery NYC Photo Exhibit will launch at Children's Museum of the Arts featuring 18 beautiful photographs of children in foster care, all of whom are hoping to find their "forever families." Photographers of the exhibit include Martin Schoeller, Deborah Feingold, James Salzano, Michael Weschler and others. The exhibit will be on display through May 31.
