Description: American painter Elihu Vedder journeyed up the Nile from December 1889 to April 1990 and recorded his fascination with Egypt's panoramas. He drew and painted the Nile's sand, cliffs and ancient ruins, often aboard a rented dahabeya, a traditional Egyptian houseboat. His artwork is presented, for the first time, in this exhibition. Museum closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Through January 8, 2012.
