Description: Join an exhibition interpreter for one of our regularly scheduled tours of Hive Culture: Captivated by the Honeybee. Through painting, sculpture, photography, and video, 18 artists share their fascination with honeybees as well as in raising awareness of the importance of bees to nature, agriculture, and environmental health. Also on view are two installations in Wave Hill's Sunroom Project Space. The Friendly Falcons and Their Friend the Snake (artists Jeffrey Kurosaki and Tara Pelletier) have transformed the Sun Porch for a project called Songs to Plants, exploring the humanization of the natural environment. In the Sunroom, view a scale model of the Sunroom that artist Caitlin Parker created and placed in Wave Hill's Woodlands. Then view a time-lapse video she produced of the activity of various fauna in and around the model.
