Description: The quiet emotional climax of Shakespeare's Othello comes late in act four, as Desdemona recalls the heart-rending song her African nurse, Barbary, sang as she died. In this intimate and profound new work, Desdemona and Barbary meet again in the afterlife. Nobel Prize–winning novelist Toni Morrison and renowned director Peter Sellars have collaborated in this project with Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traoré.
