Whether your family celebrates Easter with a hearty brunch, a local egg hunt, or colorful baskets full of treats, your festivities probably involve food—and chances are most of it isn't exactly healthy. Like any parent you want your kids to enjoy the occasional sweet, but not encourage them to overindulge by giving them a pile of candy. Luckily, according to Dr. Dyan Hes, medical director at Gramercy Pediatrics, there are ways you can make your Easter a little healthier and still keep it sweet. Instead of swapping the chocolate bunnies for veggies (yeah, right!), why not cut down the amount of candy in favor of a present? Try out Dr. Hes's other tips to a healthier Easter and skip the guilt now, and bellyaches later. It's a win-win.
