Description: Artistically representing the dances, music and songs of East European and neighboring cultures, the Tamburitzans present a wonderful two-hour journey through the towns, back roads and villages of the “Old Country.” This dazzling program is features 36 performers playing fresh, live music performed on authentic instruments with hundreds of colorful costumes. This show will take you on a musical tour traveling through such countries as Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovakis, Greece, Russia and many more.
Venue Description: For more than 45 years, Queensborough Performing Arts Center, located on the Queensborough Community College campus in Bayside, has served as an outpost of culture to its surrounding community. QPAC offers a central location near many local restaurants, making it an excellent destination for a family night out.
The center has both a professional and a children's series, providing programming for every age. The children's series is brought to the community in conjunction with a book club, a reading program that helps introduce young children to the joys of reading by staging the books chosen. The children's performances held at QPAC make for a great birthday party activity. QPAC provides a private location for lunch, discounted front-row seats, and a "Happy Birthday" serenade from the stage.
