Apple Tree DaycareApple Tree Daycare opened a second branch in Bayside on December 1. This location is an addition to the daycare's flagship branch in Fresh Meadows, which opened about two and a half years ago.

Each classroom at Apple Tree Daycare features two teachers, one a certified head teacher and the other a qualified assistant. "Everything we do at Apple Tree contributes to the children learning in some way, whether it's reading, writing, mathematics, or social skills," says teacher Laura Krufky.

Apple Tree Daycare also has two full-time cooks who supply breakfast, lunch, a snack, and dinner. Naptime and potty training are provided as well. The classrooms come equipped with a dress-up station with costumes, a computer with educational games, and a kitchen with pretend food and cooking accessories. Some of the center's programs include yoga, dance, and fine art, as well as Chinese language instruction. Apple Tree is open 8am-6 pm, though early drop-off and late pick-up are available as needed.

Apple Tree Daycare centers are located at 73-12 197th Street in Fresh Meadows and 73-20 Bell Boulevard in Bayside. For more information, call 718-736-8668.
