  • City Ice Pavilion, 47-32 32nd Place between 47th and 48th Avenues, Long Island City. Open all year round. This NHL-sized rink is New York's only rooftop ice skating rink. It offers figure skating, ice hockey and skating lessons, public skating, and a summer camp. Located minutes from the 59th Street Bridge and the number 7 train. Also offers birthday parties. Monday, Thursday 1:30-3:30pm; Fridays 5:30-8:20pm; Saturday 12-3:50pm and 7-9:50pm; Sunday 12-2:20pm. $5 Monday-Thursday; $8 Friday-Sunday. $5 skate rental. 718-706-6667; www.CityIcePavilion.com.

 

  • World Ice Arena, 125-40 Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Flushing. Located next to Citi Field and the United States Tennis Center, this NHL-sized rink offers public skating, figure skating, and ice hockey lessons, and hosts birthday parties and group events. Minutes from the 7 train. Open Monday-Friday 9am-5:15pm with an additional night session on Friday 7-9:50pm; Saturday-Sunday 12-4:45pm with an additional night session on Saturday 8-9:50pm. $5 weekdays, $8 weekends starting Friday night. $5 skate rental. 718-760-9001; www.worldice.com.
