Queens Botanical Garden

Each spring, children's imaginations and learning blossom as they plant vegetables and flowers, harvest early season greens such as lettuce, visit QBG's engaging 39 acres, cook with the food they've grown, and learn about the natural world around them.  Ages 5 through 12 (children must be 5 years old by 6/30/2014).

CAMPS-SPECIALTY
The Children's Garden, sponsored by HSBC, is a hands-on program for children ages 5-12 that teaches about plants, gardens, and nature while kids have fun playing in a beautiful environment. It’s the first “green” children’s program in Queens, and offers the opportunity to practice different sustainable gardening techniques such as composting, mulching, and learning about recycling.
