Over the years, the museum has developed quality educational programs for children, families, and adults that focus on the unique ecology of the Hudson Highlands. These programs feature a variety of weekly, seasonal, and special events that seek to involve participants with hands-on, interactive experiences. Programs focus on both plants and animals indigenous to the region.

The Wildlife Education Center, located at 25 Boulevard in Cornwall-on-Hudson, houses the museum's live animal collection and another small gift shop.
