Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Outdoor Discovery Center, Cornwall

Weekends in May

The Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, a little gem to our north in Orange County, unveiled a new nature-themed play area for young children last month called Grasshopper Grove. Now open to the public on weekends, the half-acre play area gives children ages 2-6 (and their parents) the opportunity to find adventure and appreciate the wonder of nature by climbing on fallen trees, digging in dirt piles, balancing on boulders, and creating imaginative worlds with sticks, pinecones, and bark. Open Saturday-Sunday, 9am-4pm. Children can participate in special guided activities throughout the day.
