Barnes & Noble's Children's Day at the Palisades Center Oct. 18

   Barnes & Noble at the Palisades Center hosts its first Children's Day on October 18. The special event features book readings, discus

College Night at Rockland Community College Oct. 27Looking Ahead

   Recruiters from more than 250 colleges and universities around the country will be on hand on October 27 for College Night. Representatives will speak with Rockland Community College students as well as local high school students and their parents about the admission process and programs at the schools. The event is sponsored by the School Counselors of Rockland County. 7pm. FREE. SUNY Rockland Community College, Fieldhouse, 145 College Road, Suffern. 845-268-8023. www.sunyrockland.edu.



Fall Foliage Cruise at Haverstraw Marina Oct. 18Fall Foliage Cruise

    Take a two-hour foliage cruise on The Commander to see some of the best fall foliage in the Hudson Valley. Sail past the Stony Point Lighthouse, Verplanck, Tomkins Cove, and Iona Island. Then pass under the Bear Mountain Bridge before turning at the Fort Montgomery battle site and returning to Haverstraw Marina. October 18, 1:30pm.
