ZOO BOO: Children and their parents are invited to the the Bergen County Zoo for its annual Zoo Boo Halloween celebration. The nighttime event features trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo, costumed characters, spooky scenes, smoke machines, sound effects, storytelling, and magic shows. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 1 at 9am at the zoo entrance. This popular event is said to sell out quickly. to 9pm.6pm. Age: YE, TW, TE, AD. HALLOWEEN PARADE: New York City has the East Village and Rockland County has Nyack as the site of a parade for what has become one of the most popular holidays in America, Halloween. This event is said to attract thousands of participants and spectators from throughout the tri-state area. Prizes are awarded in several categories for costumed marchers. The parade also features a $1,000 Grand Prize for Best Float. Everyone is invited to come in costume. Assembly starts at 4pm.5:30pm. Age: All ages. FREE. CABBAGE NIGHT FAMILY FESTIVAL: Cabbage Night has been a Bergen County tradition since 1683. This year's event features live music, pony rides, hay rides, face painting, disk art splash painting, storytelling, bouncy houses, and pumpkin painting. Every family gets a pumpkin while supplies last. The event is geared towards children under the age of 11 and will take place rain or shine. Children must be accompanied by an adult. to 5:00pm.1pm.
