Sabrina Roffman, owner of Just for Women Life Coaching, wants to offer women support and guidance as they transition and take on different life events. A mental health counselor by trade, Roffman has moved away from the traditional therapy model because she does not see the women she coaches as being sick or ill, and does not want to give a diagnosis. Rather, she says hopes to help women feel comfortable and supported so they can move forward with their lives.
Roffman started the business in October 2011 because she noticed a significant lack of options for women going through life transitions.“You have an OB/GYN who can provide medical advice, a pediatrician if you have a baby, and then you have a therapist…but I don’t see women going through transitions as sick,” she says.
A former career psychotherapist with a master’s degree in mental health counseling, Roffman has extensive experience working with a variety of different people, and though she specializes in
infertility, pregnancy, and motherhood, she has helped individuals with issues such as marriage,
dating, career, self-esteem, weight loss, and overall life improvement. Just for Women Life Coaching offers a few different coaching packages, and a percentage of fees collected are donated to the Preeclampsia Foundation. Roffman is flexible with fees and stresses that she would never turn some-one away because of cost. “I just want to help people,” she says, “and make them feel good about their transitions.”
