All Person's TrailOn June 4, the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference will open a wheelchair-accessible section of the Appalachian Trail on the summit of Bear Mountain near Perkins Tower. For the past year, Trail Conference volunteers have been busy building this ADA-compliant segment of celebrated pathway. The All Person's Trail will allow wheelchair users to enter the woods and view the Hudson River Valley from one of the region's most scenic spots.

An early hike begins at 8:30am, followed by morning refreshments at the summit of Bear Mountain at 10am. The trail will be officially dedicated and opened at 10:30am. Enjoy a picnic lunch at noon with music by the bluegrass group Two Dollar Goat.
