Bright Beginnings of Rockland, Inc., a preschool and day care center, is opening a second location in Pomona this August after three years of business in New City. Owner Jaime Edelschick started the center after she received her master’s degree in teaching but couldn’t find a job in her area.

Bright Beginnings only employs teachers with bachelor’s and master’s degrees and stands out from its competitors because it offers a full, accredited education program in a comfortable home environment. Edelschick looks to hire educators like herself, who graduated with high qualifications but were having a hard time finding teaching positions.

Edelschick’s passion for learning and helping her students hasn’t gone unnoticed—Childcare Resources of Rockland recently named her “Rookie of the Year.”

The warm, comfortable atmosphere of Bright Beginnings makes learning easy for kids new to the school setting. The day care aims to provide all elements of education to its students, including extracurricular activities. Ceramics and dance instructors stop by regularly, and Edelschick runs a full-scale physical education program.

Bright Beginnings of Rockland is located at 2 Mountianview Court in Pomona. For more information, visit brightbeginningsofrockland.com, email brightbeginningsofrockland@gmail.com, or call 914-420-5785.
