Fit4Mom Rockland is a fitness program for moms with classes that help them get in shape and bond with their baby and other moms. Mothers don’t have to worry about day care anymore, since all babies as young as 6 weeks old are welcome to the classes while moms exercise. The company was originally named, Stroller Strides, but recently rebranded their title to Fit4Mom in order to advertise its different formats of exercise.
Fit4Mom offers classes that cover areas such as strengthening the body during pregnancy, stroller exercising with your baby, and helping regain your body back. Stroller Barre is a new class that incorporates the methods of Pilates, yoga, and ballet with stroller workouts.
“Fit4Mom is designed to build strength in motherhood as well as a social aspect, for babies to spend time with their mothers and [for mothers to] meet other moms,” says Michelle Moore, Fit4Mom Rockland instructor.
Fit4Mom Rockland now holds classes outdoors at Congers Lake and Parelli Park. The Parelli Park classes are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. The classes start at 9:15am, except for Saturday classes, which begin at 9:00am. Congers Lake classes are held Tuesday and Thursday, both starting at 10:45am.
Fit4Mom Rockland is held at five different locations in Rockland County: Congers Lake, Dance Central, Palisades Center Mall, Parelli Park, and Rockland Lake.
