Summer Spot Day Camp (The)

The Summer Spot Day Camp – where campers experience more than just fun!  We are entering our 16th season and fourth season at the beautiful 22 acre campus of Rockland Country Day School in Congers, NY. We offer a quality, affordable, flexible day camp experience for children ages 5-14. 

Max McClintock, our 'hands on' Director says, "We are intentionally a smaller camp with an environment that is safe, diverse, full of social skill building/decision making opportunities.   As a result, our campers receive meaningful individual attention. Throughout my 25 year career working with kids, I have aspired to be the best positive role model possible and I expect my staff to do the same.”

Meet the Camp Director

Max McClintock has worked professionally with thousands of children since 1987. For years he was a senior counselor at various day camps in Rockland County. In 1996, he became a day camp administrator, then a year later, a day camp director. Max has also been a key employee for Rockland After-School Programs since 1989 serving as both a site supervisor and special programs coordinator. In 1998, Max was a recipient of Child Care Resources of Rockland Children's Champion Award, 'Champion in the Trenches,’ for his unyielding support of our youth, families, and community.
