Hurricane Sandy News from Local Businesses - Long Island

The superstorm Sandy (dubbed by news media as "Frankenstorm") rocked all of Long Island and much of the surrounding area. Many of the businesses in Suffolk and Nassau Counties and beyond have been affected.

Local businesses throughout the Island--including Bay Shore, Riverhead, Sayville, the Hamptons, Rocky Point, Port Jefferson, Smithtown, Center Moriches, Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, and Central Islip in Suffolk; and Amityville, Baldwin, Great Neck, Hicksville, Wantagh, Woodbury, Glen Cove, Farmingdale, Hewlett, and Hempstead in Nassau--are rising to the challenge of repairing our communities and helping out. Beyond donating food, water, emergency goods, clothing, and money towards relief, you can help by supporting your local businesses as they rebuild.

Post-Hurricane Sandy Head Lice News

The entire East Coast was hit hard last week by a Category I hurricane. Many, many people lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones. We are sending our love and care out to the universe and especially to everyone impacted by the storm and to the people from all over the country who volunteered their time and resources to help with recovery efforts.

Licenders is open and busy with removing head lice. Due to the relocation of many NYC residents, head lice had the opportunity to spread more easily. Don’t allow the lice to multiply and get out of control. If you suspect that you may have an infestation, call Licenders right now: 212-759-5200.
