Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Scares Up Fun with 23rd Annual Spooky Walk - Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck
Add to Calendar 29-10-2011 29-10-2011 15 Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Scares Up Fun with 23rd Annual Spooky Walk For the 23rd straight year, Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck is asking those to get “spooked” for a good cause. The event is being hosted by the Moriches Paquatuck Squaws.Although the Spooky Walk has been considered a family-friendly event in the past, organizers for this year’s Spooky Walk have been working hard in making this the scariest — and best — Halloween walk on Long Island this Halloween season. Since its inception in 1989, the Spooky Walk has become the most popular haunt on Long Island, and — at a walk lasting 45 to 60 minutes — the longest-lasting walk on the Island. As visitors enter the gates, they will encounter some of the scariest, most grotesque creatures they have ever seen. Their bravery will be challenged as they walk an inescapable route into The Black Woods. This year’s exhibits include the Psycho Circus, The Pirates, The Die-Ner, The Haunted Gazebo, The Dark Woods, The Witches and more! This year’s Spooky Walk is geared towards older children, teenagers and adults. Younger children may also attend, but it is up to the parent or caregiver to determine if their child can handle it. If for any reason the parent needs to take the child out, they may do so by notifying a security officer. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $12.00, with proceeds going to benefit the special-needs children at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Food, drinks and souvenirs will be sold at the end of the walk. The camp is located on Chet Swezey Road. For more information, visit www.spookywalk.com.
