As computers become an integral part of our daily life, many schools are taking a fresh look at their computer labs -- considering a redesign of areas that were originally thrown together with little money. The Computer Lab at St. Joseph School is no exception. A technology project began to take shape at the end of 2009 - 2010 school year in order to update and renovate the computer lab and internet connections throughout the school. The seed money for this project began with a Technology Walk-a-thon that was sponsored by our school parents and staff. This extensive technology project would not have been possible without the support of the community, parents and various education institutions. An investment of 200K+ was implemented giving way to the following addition:

  • Internet access in all classrooms and offices- allowing at least 2 computers in each classroom
  • Smartboards in all Kindergarten through 8th Grade classrooms St. Joseph Catholic School
  • Math remedial media center with 5 new computers
  • Reading remedial center with 2 new computers
  • 4 laptops and projectors on wheels
  • Upgraded servers with 3 new servers in Computer Lab
  • School programs were upgraded to Microsoft 2010 Office and Microsoft XP Operating Systems on all computers
  • 48 new computers throughout the school
  • 26 new computers in the computer lab
  • Complete new electrical wiring and upgrade

Our philosophy is one of respect and appreciation for individual differences. Each child is encouraged to meet his or her full potential through milestones set forth by the Common Core Standards and Diocesan guidelines. We provide up-to-date curriculum and materials, state-of-the-art technology, clubs, extracurricular activities, and much more.
