USDAN Center for the Creative and Performing Arts

Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts is th arts days camp declared a "Best Of" camp by NY Metro Parents, Time Out NY Kids, and Long Island Press. The 2010 season begins on June 28th at the Center's 200 acre woodland campus. Usdan is open to ages 6 to 18, and no audition is required. Admision is based on an expression of interest in the arts. Each summer, 1,600 students travel to the center each day on air-conditioned buses that depart from neighborhoods throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Meet the Director

Dale Lewis is an arts educator dedicated to Usdan’s mission: “Lose Yourself for a Summer - Find Yourself for a Lifetime”. As director of the country’s preeminent not-for-profit arts day camp located on Long Island, Lewis is proud of Usdan’s 1,600 students, ages 6-18 years, who choose from 40 programs in music, art, theater, dance, writing, chess, and nature. He says that Usdan’s magnificent 200-acre campus inspires students to explore, learn, collaborate, and have fun all summer long.
