The Harrison School of Music held its grand opening January 22. The school offers private music lessons, including voice and all major instruments, for students of all ages.

It is the only location in Westchester to offer The Music Class®, a preschool program that nurtures musical development by engaging preschoolers and their parents in musical activities.

Students will have the chance to perform at regular recitals throughout the year, and older students (ages 13-19) have the option to join the school's Glee Voice Club, where they'll sing and learn choreography in a dynamic, show choir setting, or Garage Band, a program that allows kids to learn and rehearse with their own "rock band."

The school's teachers are highly qualified - all are university trained and most hold masters or doctorate degrees in music. "It's a very friendly, open environment," says director Samuel Faraci, M.M. "We invite parents to come sit in on lessons and be involved with their children as they're learning."

The Harrison School of Music is located at 253 Halstead Avenue in Harrison. For more information: 914-315-4223 or www.harrisonmusicschool.com.
