KidAbilites, LLC is a unique private practice located in central Westchester, New York. Dedicated to assisting children with special challenges develop new skills and positive self images, our programs of therapeutic intervention are provided by master clinicians in a nurturing yet professional environment. The clinical expertise, dedication and caring evident at KidAbilities empowers parents and maximizes a child's potential. KidAbilities, LLC provides pediatric occupational therapy, pediatric physical therapy and speech and language therapy for children, in our beautiful child friendly office.

 

Gaining Skills Through Play!



Through expert assessment and our unique intervention strategies, which look and feel like play, children develop the skills and abilities essential for meeting the challenges of their world. At home, at school, in group activities and with friends, children become more capable. Most importantly, each child begins to feel positive about him/her self, trying new activities with a sense of confidence!

 

How do I know if my child needs therapy?



An in-depth evaluation can help determine a child's need for therapy. One of KidAbilities expert evaluators will work one-on-one with any child, birth through adolescence to determine what is causing a child's difficulty. We are also happy to plan a program based on an evaluation completed elsewhere.

What does therapy involve?

 



Our trained staff utilizes the most current techniques with state of the art equipment in our 2000 square feet of treatment space. Since children learn, grow and change through play, that is what treatment looks like. More importantly, that's what children feel they are doing.

 

What kind of pproblems are addressed?

 



Combining an in-depth understanding of typical development, traditional therapy techniques and cutting edge treatment strategies each child's unique challenges can be met. Therapy can:

 

  • Facilitate dressing, eating and independence in hygiene
  • Develop a child's sense of balance and equilibrium
  • Improve catching and throwing

KidAbilities is a group of occupational, physical, and speech therapists dedicated to helping children develop physical, sensory, verbal, and social skills. Our unique approach includes cutting-edge treatment (NDT, Sensory Integration, listening therapies, eating therapy, PROMPT, sensory diets) conducted in state-of-the-art sensory gyms and treatment areas. Skills develop and positive self-images emerge while children have fun. KidAbilities group offerings: Play Partners is a social-skills group; ‘Write, On’ helps develop writing skills; and Mommy, Massage Me teaches parents how to massage their babies.
