Westchester Judo

Self-defense, discipline, exercise and action! Judo, a century-old martial art form, provides participants with endless benefits. Housed within a state-of-the-art personal training center, Westchester Judo offers classes for children and adults. Enhancing endurance, strength, and agility, Judo represents an ideal sport for kids. Head instructor Sauveur Chris Soriano, a member of the French Judo team, is a fifth-degree black belt and has earned full certification as a Judo Master-Instructor from the French Judo Federation.

Meet the Camp Director

Sauveur Chris Soriano, born in Lyon, France, started judo at 6 and became a black belt at 17. A member of the French National judo team from 1982 to 1992, he reached the podium in international competitions. While he was a good fighter, his true passion was to educate, train, teach, and coach young judokas. Developing judo in USA is now the center of his life. A 5th-degree black belt, International coach USA Judo, Sauveur leads the Westchester Judo Club (founded in 2001), and supports and coaches international champions.
