Naturemania NYCEarth Day falls on April 22 this year, but with all the fun nature-based activities happening throughout April in Manhattan and the Bronx, why not spend the whole month teaching your kids the importance of treating the Earth right? Better yet, use the holiday as an excuse to kick off a new family initiative to go green. These events make it easy to have fun while learning to care for the planet. Tree huggers unite!

Founded in 2008, NatureMania is a celebration of urban nature for kids. This year’s theme is Engage Your Senses, and kids will be encouraged to use all five senses to interact with the world around them. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and should bring their own lunch. A daily schedule will be available online as it gets closer to the event; kids are welcome to attend one day or all five. Click for details
