About the Workshop

Brooklyn Ballet's Summer Intensive, July 3 through July 24, will be held in Downtown Brooklyn, at the company's newly inaugurated studio space at The Schermerhorn and at the Genovesi Center at St. Francis College. The intensive is a joint effort between Lynn Parkerson and Caridad Martinez of Brooklyn Ballet and Luc Louis de Lairesse, the founding director of Belgium's Ballettoday. With more than 150 students from Brooklyn and Europe slated to participate, the workshop will expand Brooklyn's presence in the international dance scene while offering exclusive professional training to students in the borough and beyond. Students ages 7 and older will study dance technique with esteemed professionals and participate in the creation of new works, engaging in an amalgam of unique opportunities in the form of master classes, performances and other artistic collaborations.
