Everyone’s favorite blue dog and her sidekick Steve take off on a clue-based journey in the interactive musical Blue’s Clues: The Most Spectacular Place, showing at the Long Island Children’s Museum in nearby Garden City. The duo travels from Storybook Forest—where they encounter the three little pigs, Goldilocks, and other familiar characters—all the way to outer space. In the end, though, they discover the most spectacular place isn’t all that far away.

Adam Moseback is Prince Charming and Christina Corsaro our hard-working heroine in this live stage version of Cinderella, playing at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport. The Disney princess finds herself sweeping, sewing, and missing out on the biggest party of the year. Will she make it to the ball? Will the prince notice her? Will she ever find that missing shoe?

Framed: Step into Art exhibitOpens June 15

Picture Perfect

How many times have you stared at a painting, willing yourself to be transported to that time and place? At Framed: Step into Art, a temporary exhibit opening at the nearby Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City, kids can actually step inside the framework of famous paintings. Other activities include traveling back to the Canadian Rockies in 1916 and discovering camping gear like John Singer Sargent would have used; riding Clementine Hunter’s Big Chicken; and helping complete Diego Rivera’s mural “Corn Festival.” Mona Lisa makes an appearance in both her original form and several parodies.

At Family Fridays: Steve Charney and Harry, Charney will wear his ventriloquist hat and, along with his 6-year-old sidekick, entertain the crowd at The Common Ground in Sayville with humor, songs, and stories.
