Annual Golf Raises $30,000 for Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester

The 18th annual golf tournament for the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester raised $30,000 to go directly toward the club’s programs and services.

The 18th annual golf tournament for the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester was held on Tuesday, July 31st, at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY. The successful tournament raised $30,000 for the Club. Proceeds from the event will go directly toward the Club’s programs and services.

Following the tournament, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception including an artisanal spirit tasting sponsored by Mount Kisco Wines & Spirits as well as hand rolled cigars from La Casa Grande Tobacco Company.  An awards presentation took place during dinner along with live and silent auctions featuring such items as sports tickets, golf foursomes, golf lessons, and luxury vacation packages.

“We are very grateful to the community for their continued support of the Club,” said BGCNW Executive Director, Brian Skanes. “It is always great to see familiar faces coming out to enjoy the day while supporting our great cause.”

Entergy returned as platinum sponsor, accompanied by silver sponsor TD Bank. Hole sponsors included Crabtree’s Kittle House Restaurant & Inn; Cuddy & Fedder LLP; R. The Golf Tournament Committee is chaired by Robert J. Levine and includes members: Emily Stoddard, Kevin Bannon, Phil Bronzi, Lou Claytor, Bruce Cohen, John Crabtree, Terry Kramer, Tom O’Neil, Ben Palancia, Peter Pauley, Chris Rabley, R. Established in 1939 as a place for “boys to get off the streets,” the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and enabling young people, especially those who need it most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester serves 2,000 youths, boys and girls ages 6 months to 18 years, from more than 60 Northern Westchester communities. The Club has been ranked among the outstanding Clubs in the national network of Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
