Green Meadow Waldorf School in Chestnut Ridge will open a satellite Early Childhood Center in Tarrytown in September, bringing its unique curriculum to Westchester County.

The Waldorf philosophy encourages direct experience with lesson material and introduces subject matter in an age-appropriate fashion in order to help children express their individuality and find joy in learning. Waldorf curriculum also strives to foster critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills while instilling intrinsic ethical and moral codes. Waldorf education is the fastest-growing independent educational movement in the world today, with nearly 1,000 schools in 83 countries.
