Children's Film Festival, St. Patrick's Day Fun, & Party Planning Help
March 7-9

The 16th annual New York International Children’s Film Festival opens March 7 at the DGA Theater with the U.S. premiere of Amazonia, a 3-D, live-action film from France (no dialogue) that reveals the deep mystery and beauty of the Amazon rainforest.

There’s no doubt that kids love big name films like Frozen, and Despicable Me, but it’s never too soon to give them a taste of the wellspring of culture found in indie flicks. This month, as Manhattan hosts the 16th annual New York International Children’s Film Festival, even the smallest movie fans will become connoisseurs of cinema. The four-week-long event spans several theaters and features more than 100 new films made just for kids. Kick things off at the opening gala with a screening of Amazonia, an exciting wildlife film. Throughout the month you can see screenings of shortfilms from around the world, participate in sing-along screenings, and even preview anticipated blockbusters such as Rio 2 and Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted. What are are you waiting for? Lights. Camera. Action!Bounce!
