HCPA uses the Japanese method of violin instruction. A weekly, 45-minute group class is the key to the success of this method of learning. In the group students socialize, develop their listening skills, and have fun while they learn. There are two solo concerts, and an end-of-year performance. Additionally, the student has a weekly private lesson with parent and teacher. HCPA also offers traditional piano, string, and voice lessons. Huntington Suzuki Music Program runs 32 weeks. Suzuki Program for violin age 3 and older, piano for age 6 and older.

HCPA musical theater classes, for ages 6-12, offers training needed to participate in a musical theater production. The objective is to build confidence and discipline in each child. Acting: We will develop skills in delivering lines in character as well as reacting to dialogue within a scene. In addition, improvisation will be practiced. Singing: Explore music from current musical theater productions, child-friendly classics as well as pop and rock tunes. The use of proper breathing and related vocalization exercises will be incorporated as well as sight-singing, note reading, and harmonizing.
