The Queensborough Performing Arts Center at Queensborough Community College invites children ages 8 to 14 to participate in a new weekly dance workshop called Gotta Dance: Kids Edition.
The workshop, which begins in the fall, will be taught by professional dance choreographers who are not only top-notch teaching artists but who also reflect New York City’s multi-ethnic diversity. Each workshop is shaped to the interests and level of each group. Participants receive individual coaching and feedback from the instructor
This special program is sponsored by Councilmembers Barry Grodenchik, Rory Lancman, ad Daneek Miller in an effort to provide affordable cultural & artistic programs in the Queens community. The workshop will run for five consecutive weeks on Saturdays from 11am to 12:30pm.
The dates of workshop are: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20. The fee to participate is only $5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Reserve your child’s spot on stage by purchasing a ticket available on www.visitQPAC.org.
