Merrick Pediatric Dentistry aims to provide patients with personal attention so they will never feel like they are “just another patient,” ensuring parents that their children will always be seen by Rania Elbaz, D.D.S.

Dr. Elbaz, owner of Merrick Pediatric Dentistry, says that she prides herself on “doing good-quality dental work,” and that she “never rushes with her patients.” She tries to make each one feel comfortable by making sure the “kids always know what comes next.” For patients with special needs, Dr. Elbaz tells parents to bring them in routinely for visits so that they can get used to the environment and to prevent cavities.

Merrick Pediatric Dentistry strongly promotes preventative care, visiting daycares, preschools, and elementary schools, and giving student workshops on how to brush their teeth, how to floss, a breakdown of what happens at the dentist so kids have less anxiety when they do go, and presents each student with a dental goodie bag. Dr. Elbaz urges families to “start good oral habits early.”

Merrick Pediatric Dentistry also has Candy Buy Backs in the fall at which families can trade their candy for cash. The dentistry teams up with Operation Gratitude to ship the treats to U.S. troops stationed abroad.
