The Wildlife Conservation Society’s Earth Day Celebration

The Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium is devoting an entire week to a “Green Fest,” where families can learn ways to protect the planet through various exhibits and “green” vendors. Besides visiting with the sea animals, families can create art from recyclable materials; dance to music with an environmental message by Gigi and the Lend Me a Hand Band; enjoy storytelling and a puppet show; watch sea lions demonstrate how to protect other sea animals; engage in Keeper Chats; and create an Earth Day mural. $13; $10 ages 65 and older; $9 ages 3-12; FREE under 3. All ages. April 13-19, and April 22 (Earth Day). 12-4pm daily. Surf Avenue at West 8th Street, Coney Island. 718-265-FISH. www.nyaquarium.com.
