Yoga for Kids at CSI - Congregation Sons of Israel

Children ages 2-6 are invited to try this playful and integrative approach to yoga. Group meets on Thursdays through January 30.

IEP 101 - Orangetown Jewish Center
January 23, 2014 - Orangeburg

The synagogue hosts this special evening program for parents, IEP 101: Everything You Should to Know about an Individualized Education Program. Participants will discover the benefits of an IEP and the answers to frequently asked questions: What is an IEP? What is its purpose? Who develops the IEP? How does it help my child? and How can I collaborate with the school to do what is best for my child? The program will be led by Dawn Kitz, Work-Based Learning Center Coordinator at Rockland BOCES. Reservations are required.

Toddler Time - Bounce! Trampoline Sports

Little kids can really get their sillies out when Bounce hosts Toddler Time, each Monday and Thursday morning. Kids can run around Bounce's giant trampoline courts, jump on toddler-size trampolines, and take a running leap into a variety of foam pits. Guaranteed fun for kids and their caregivers.

Sukey Molloy & Friends! Winter Concert - Haverstraw King's Daughters Public Library

Toddlers are invited to join Sukey Molloy & Friends for an hour of sing-along fun. Kids can dance along with Sukey's friends Sunflower, Tick Tock and Sunny, and enjoy the show. Registration is required.

The synagogue invites parents or caregivers with their favorite baby or toddler to this weekly group. Participants will celebrate Shabbat together and learn Hebrew words. Group meets each Friday through Jan. 31.

Winter Workshop - Jill's Ceramics

Jill will help artists of all ages design winter-themed crafts. Choose from a large array of seasonal items including dishes, mugs, plates, snowflake boxes, plaques, and more including special gifts for the winter holidays such as Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Pieces can be taken home that day or left for glazing. Fee includes instruction. Pre-registration is requested. Workshops will be held each Friday throughout the month.

Families with toddlers are invited to meet in the synagogue's “Family Room” for this Saturday morning service with an interactive and musical format that encourages both children and adults to explore the spiritual aspects of Shabbat. The service ends with the children joining the main sanctuary service for the concluding prayers followed by the congregational lunch.

This little gem of a nature center in nearby Orange County hosts a special exhibit this year on mastodons, a cool subject for many kids. And at 2:30pm, young visitors can join a Museum Educator to�"Meet the (live) Animal" of the week. Exhibit runs each weekend through December.

Jump and Glow Night - Bounce! Trampoline Sports

Each Friday, Bounce! hosts Jump 'n Glow nights, where nearly everything in the giant trampoline playground glows in the dark thanks to lasers and black lighting. Guests can have fun and get fit on giant courts of interconnected trampolines, play slam dunk basketball on trampoline courts, play dodgeball, and jump into dual foam pits. Rock music, glow in the dark dodge balls, and glow in the dark hula hoops add to the atmosphere of fun.

Friday Night Black Lights - Monster Mini Golf

Kids can stop by Monster Mini Golf on Friday nights for a special evening of golf, arcade games, and pizza for one low price. This unique venue features a monster-themed, glow-in-the dark miniature golf course as well as locally-themed artwork, animated creatures, and an interactive DJ who entertains the golfers throughout their stay.
