Boppin’ with Bonnie Music Class - Congregation Sons of Israel

Toddlers and their parent or caregiver are invited to join trained music teacher and ventriloquist Bonnie Halfond for a morning of music, movement, and puppets.

Munchkins and Mishpacha - Congregation Sons of Israel

The synagogue invites parents or caregivers with their favorite baby or toddler to this weekly group. Participants will celebrate Shabbat together and learn Hebrew words. Group meets each Friday through Jan. 31.

Owl Prowl - Hudson Highlands Nature Museum's Wildlife Education Center
January 31, 2014 - Cornwall

Visit the nature center for an evening of facts and fiction about owls, the birds of the night. Meet the Museum's live owl then head out into the woods to call in a wild owl. Attendance is limited; pre-paid registration is required. For adults with or without children and children ages 5 and up.

Winter Workshop - Jill's Ceramics
January 31, 2014 - West Nyack

Jill will help artists of all ages design winter-themed crafts. Choose from a large array of seasonal items including dishes, mugs, plates, snowflake boxes, plaques, and more including special gifts for the winter holidays such as Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. Pieces can be taken home that day or left for glazing. Fee includes instruction. Pre-registration is requested. Workshops will be held each Friday throughout the month.

Parents Night Out Art Party - Art Adventure

Art Adventure invites parents to drop off their children and enjoy a night out. The evening includes such art party activities as painting with remote controlled cars, organized crafts, free play, games, and more. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Space is limited; registration is required. Children must be potty-trained.

Meet Outragehisss Pets - Green Meadow Waldorf School

Lizards, foxes, chinchillas, toads, spiders, hedgehogs, snakes, sugar gliders, and armadillos. Outragehisss Pets will bring a menagerie of animals for all to see, learn about, and if you're feeling brave, hold or touch. This event will be followed by an open house for the school from 1-4pm.

Take Your Child to the Library Day - New City Library

The library invites parents and their children to participate in this new statewide initiative. Kids can drop by the Children's Department, show their library card (or better yet, apply for one), and get a special prize. While there, enjoy puzzles, books, computers, audiovisual materials, and more.

Ramsey Farmers Market - Ramsey Farmers Market

This weekly market features 35 vendors with organic and traditional produce, artisan breads and cheeses, local honey, homemade pastas and sauces, local wine, organic hummus and prepared foods, gourmet olive oils and balsamic vinegar, homemade jams, spices, fresh fish, and more. Nyack Winter Farmer's Market-Season Opening - Nyack Center

Nyack's famous farm market moves indoors for the winter. Shop for gourmet baked good, coffee, locally-made wine and cheese, and more. Each week, visitors can check out Mr. Amazing's Fun & Fit CircusCize Workout presented by Carlo Pellegrini, co-founder of Nyack's Amazing Grace Circus. Tea & Play - Green Meadow Waldorf School

Parents of prospective students can talk to one of the school's early childhood teacher while their child plays nearby in a beautiful classrooms. Mondays through June 2 other than Oct. 14, Nov. 25, Dec. 23, Dec. 30, Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17, April 14, and May 26.

Story Time - Green Meadow Waldorf School

Children ages 3-5 are invited to story time at the Waldorf School. Group meets every Wednesday through June 4 other than Nov. 27, Dec. 25, Jan. 1, Feb. 19, and April 16. Registration is required.

Mastodons: Ice Age to Discovery - Hudson Highlands Nature Museum, Wildlife Education Center

This little gem of a nature center in nearby Orange County hosts a special exhibit this year on mastodons, a cool subject for many kids. And at 2:30pm, young visitors can join a Museum Educator to�"Meet the (live) Animal" of the week. Exhibit runs each weekend through December.

Jump and Glow Night - Bounce! Trampoline Sports
Through December 26, 2014 - Valley Cottage

Each Friday, Bounce! hosts Jump 'n Glow nights, where nearly everything in the giant trampoline playground glows in the dark thanks to lasers and black lighting. Guests can have fun and get fit on giant courts of interconnected trampolines, play slam dunk basketball on trampoline courts, play dodgeball, and jump into dual foam pits. Rock music, glow in the dark dodge balls, and glow in the dark hula hoops add to the atmosphere of fun.

Friday Night Black Lights - Monster Mini Golf
Through December 26, 2014 - Nanuet

Kids can stop by Monster Mini Golf on Friday nights for a special evening of golf, arcade games, and pizza for one low price. This unique venue features a monster-themed, glow-in-the dark miniature golf course as well as locally-themed artwork, animated creatures, and an interactive DJ who entertains the golfers throughout their stay.
