Tim Morehouse Fencing Club Offering Discounted Rates for New Students

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, which opened this past fall in Port Chester, will offer 50 percent off the first week of its Youth Champions summer day camp for new students. Founded by U. S. Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse, the club is looking forward to its summer camps which are geared for children ages 6 through 12 of all ability levels, from beginners to Olympic hopefuls.

“Fencing is a sport that challenges the brain as well as the body and is great for speed, agility, strength and coordination, as well as self-discipline and self-confidence,” says Morehouse. As someone who has won an Olympic Silver Medal in the men’s saber team event in 2008 and was a three-time Olympic team member, a nine-time world team member, and a two-time individual U.S. National Champion, Morehouse is an excellent instructor for all levels of students.

Summer camp meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and provides a fun and safe environment to learn the sport of fencing at the new state-of-the-art air-conditioned facility. The club, which is ranked 7 in the country in youth fencing, teaches the Olympic sport of saber fencing. Students will participate in daily drills and games and a weekly camp tournament with medals.

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club is conveniently close to the Metro North train station in Port Chester and exit 2 on I-95.
