'SNAP' - The New Victory Theater

Poof! Presto! Snap! Playing with space, time, and the otherworldly, this eclectic ensemble of South Korean illusionists will boggle your mind with their impressive powers of prestidigitation. Mixing dexterous sleight of hand, Chaplin-esque vaudevillian comedy, and ingenious visual effects, SNAP conjures a marvelous, magical cabaret perfect for the whole family. SNAP has a running time of 70 minutes with no intermission, and is recommended for everyone 6 and up.

9th Annual Mini Egg Hunt - Whimsies Dollhouse Shop

Ride a Vintage Train to Visit the Easter Bunny - Danbury Railway Museum
Through April 20, 2019 - Danbury

The Easter Bunny will once again pay a visit to the Danbury Railway Museum and you can take a ride in a vintage train through the historic railyard to visit him. Each child will receive a small gift from the Bunny. Reservations are suggested and may be made by visiting the museum's Web site. The short train ride in a fully-restored 1953 New Haven RR Rail Diesel Car (Budd RDC), will take visitors past the historic turntable- currently undergoing a major restoration- over 70 vintage railroad cars and locomotives, and many unique pieces of railroad history, including a Boston & Maine steam locomotive built in 1907. The train ride will stop at the Easter Bunny's special railroad car. The museum's beautifully restored circa-1910 Railway Post Office (RPO) car will also be open. Of course, the exhibits inside the restored 1903 Danbury station will be open, along with a coloring station, temporary tattoos, Thomas play table, and the operating model train layouts. 

Kids Count! - The New York Botanical Garden

Learn about a teen-led, three-season project to document leaf, flower, and fruit development in native plants growing in the Adventure Garden. Go out to observe the pussy willow, a harbinger of spring. The data you gather contributes to the National Phenology Network’s efforts to collect, store, and share phenology data and information worldwide.

Family Art Project: The Earth on the Turtle's Back - Wave Hill

Listen to the Iroquois story of how earth came to be. Honor the history of our planet, and all that it has given us, by screen-printing a turtle image and building layers of earth atop its shell, creating a printing plate using natural and upcycled materials. 

Budding Botanists - The New York Botanical Garden

Stand up for plants! Become a plant champion in the Children’s Garden this spring. Discover bulbs and buds as they wake up and seeds sprout. Search for plants and animals in the Children’s Garden as they grow and change through the season. Make a seed sprouting tape to plant at home and design a button that proclaims why you love plants.
