the 10th anniversary of Focus on French Cinema,
which will be held in Greenwich for the first time.

Alliance Française of Greenwich is a nonprofit organization focused on encouraging the embracement of French language, art, and friendship. Classes founded on exploring French culture are offered to ages 3 and older, including programs for adults.

On the weekend of April 4-6, Alliance Française will host the 10th anniversary of Focus on French Cinema. This 10th anniversary celebration also marks the first time the festival will be held in Greenwich—it was held at the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase College in Purchase College, NY in the past. The film festival gives participants the opportunity to view some of the best French cinema films in a French-cultured environment, with the addition of newly-expanded festivities.

Farrah Walczuk, education director and office manager for Alliance Française Greenwich says some of the activities and encounters taking place at the Focus on French Cinema event include world premieres of French films, French celebrities, Q-and-A sessions with French directors and actors, and an opening night gala.

Some of the films that will be shown are Cesar nominations (France’s equivalent to the Oscars). More information on tickets and an up-to-date schedule can be found at afgreenwich.org or focusonfrenchcinema.com.
