Asphalt Green's Battery Park City Location Offers Family Programming

Campers are divided by age and skill level for summer day camp swim instruction.

Asphalt Green, which has a location on the Upper East Side, is opening its new 52,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art location in Battery Park City on June 15. Its summer programming schedule starts June 24, and its summer day camp starts June 27.

Along with the same great youth, adult, and family swim, sports, and fitness programming that the Upper East Side location offers, the Battery Park City location has partnered with Manhattan organizations to offer youth, adult, and family culinary and cultural programming—Great Performances for culinary arts, Church Street School for Music and Art for cultural arts, and InShape Circus for youth and family circus arts.

The Battery Park City location also offers summer day camp, with the same philosophy and programming as the Upper East Side camp, including swim and sports instruction and integrated with its cultural arts programs. Campers are divided into three age groups: Peewee (ages 4-6), Junior (ages 6-8), and Senior (ages 8-13), and swim lessons are grouped by skill level.

The day camp, which is currently accepting registrations, runs June 27-Aug. 16, Monday-Friday, from 8:30am-4:30pm in four-, five-, six-, and eight-week sessions. The camp also offers pre- and after-camp care and bus service.

Asphalt Green in Battery Park City is currently accepting membership registration.
