Sea Explorers Marine Camp Now Offers Camp for Ages 10-14

A new summer day camp for tweens and teens ages 10-14 will be offered as part of the Sea Explorers Marine Camp. The marine biology camp in Babylon offers all of the popular activities that are featured at the camp’s regular sessions, including voyages on the Yankee III and a trip to Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead.

Sea Explorers Marine Camp is introducing The Best of Sea Explorers! this summer, a new day camp program for kids ages 10-14. The camp targets kids who are too old for many day camps, but are too young to do much else over the summer. Sea Explorers Marine Camp created this program because kids who had grown out of its other programs didn’t know what they were going to do over the summer, and wanted to continue to learn about the marine world.

“It’s so hard to find camps and things to do to keep those older kids busy, and parent’s don’t want their children to lose interest,” says camp director Tracy Marcus.

The camp runs July 1-5 and will include all of the popular activities featured at Sea Explorers. Campers will learn about marine biology, go on a fishing voyage aboard the Yankee III, take a trip to Atlantis Marine World Aquarium in Riverhead, and have a sand sculpture competition, among other things.

Sea Explorers Marine Camp is held Monday-Friday from 9am-2pm and currently has open enrollment.
