Baketivity Baking Kit Company Offers Subscriptions, Bulk Ordering

Baketivity, an online company that mails out baking kits designed for children’s use, recently began offering a monthly subscription service for parents to order for their children, as well as bulk ordering for summer camps and other groups.  Bulk ordering is available for groups of eight, 12, or 32 bakers. Larger group custom pricing and discounts are also available.

Baketivity, which will be celebrating its second anniversary in April, is designed for individual children of all ages and their families. Each kit contains a recipe, instructions, and pre-measured ingredients packaged in vacuum-packed bags to help maintain freshness and prevent spills. Educational games related to the activities are also included. Examples of Baketivity’s recipes include triple chocolate chip cookies, atomic cake pops, swirling cinnamon buns, and muffin cupcakes.

Eli Schwartz, who has experience in commercial baking supply distribution, created Baketivity with his wife, a professional baker, to teach children about baking and strengthen the bonds within families.

Baking is an enjoyable family activity, Schwartz says. “We very much want to bring out the point that this builds the parenting relationship between the child and mother,” he says. “It’s a very strong and meaningful way to build the relationship and create warm memories.”

Parents can order individual recipe kits or sign up for subscription plans to receive kits once a month. Subscription plans can be purchased on a month-to-month basis, or in three-month, six-month, and 12-month packages. All Baketivity ingredients are kosher certified. Although based locally, the company ships their products throughout the country.
