Bright Horizons Early Education and Preschool Opens in Dumbo and West Village

Bright Horizons, a daycare and early education center, opened a Manhattan location in West Village in January and a Brooklyn location in Dumbo in February. Both locations offer state-of-the-art facilities that include indoor play spaces to keep children active no matter the weather, as well as the highest level of security and latest technology.

Bright Horizons offers full- and part-time, year-round programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The centers abide by Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies and aim to consider what children need in a space and how they will use it.

Bright Horizons DUMBO, at 52 Water Street, will host its Grand Opening event on April 13. You can RSVP for the event by visiting the Bright Horizons website.

“At Bright Horizons we believe that environment is the key to creating a joyful place for childhood,” said Meg Robustelli, marketing manager at Bright Horizons. “We put a great deal of thought and care into creating those joyful places. We know our centers will form an integral part of a child’s earliest learning; and with that in mind, we carefully curate high-quality materials for every center to create beautiful environments with rich, open-ended experiences that nurture development and inspire learning.”

Known as “The World at Their Fingertips,” Bright Horizons’ curriculum is designed to promote active learning in children that both prepares them for school and helps develop their character, creativity, and sense of community. Central tenets of Bright Horizons’ curriculum for all age groups include Language Works, Math Counts, Science Rocks, ArtSmart, Our World (environmental awareness), and Well Aware (fitness and nutrition).
