Curious-on-Hudson, an organization that offers classes for kids and adults, recently announced new classes for kids for the upcoming months. Curious-on-Hudson offers a unique environment for learning, and each class is a social experience.

“The whole idea of Curious-on-Hudson that we offer crowd-sourced education. We find people in the community who are very specialized in a certain type of knowledge,” founder Adele Falco says. “Everything we do is about individuals spending time with real people, real experts. Our mission is to provide the opportunity to meet face to face with passionate experts.”

The Leonardo DaVinci Workshop for ages 8-12 is a hands-on workshop that combines scientific principles with creative experimentation inspired by the inventor. Participants will explore art and science through drawing, painting, building, and inventing. The class, which runs for six sessions from 4-5:30pm, begins March 20 and partial registration is available.

In Take it Apart Saturdays, children in kindergarten through fifth grade will take apart a different machine each week and learn how it was built, how it works, and principles of engineering. Then the kids will use the taken-apart objects to invent and build new objects. The class runs for six weeks from 9:30-11am beginning March 22, and partial registration is available.

Lego Engineering Spring Mini-Camp is a half-day camp taught by Bricks4Kidz where kids ages 5-12 build superhero-themed vehicles that run with a wireless remote control. The camp runs April 15-17 from 10am-1:30pm and registration is now open.
