'SNAP' - The New Victory Theater

Poof! Presto! Snap! Playing with space, time, and the otherworldly, this eclectic ensemble of South Korean illusionists will boggle your mind with their impressive powers of prestidigitation. Mixing dexterous sleight of hand, Chaplin-esque vaudevillian comedy, and ingenious visual effects, SNAP conjures a marvelous, magical cabaret perfect for the whole family. SNAP has a running time of 70 minutes with no intermission, and is recommended for everyone 6 and up.

'Play Ball' Film Series at Nitehawk - Nitehawk Cinema

As the baseball season begins, Nitehawk Cinema brings its annual baseball-inspired film series to Prospect Park. This year’s starting line up features three kid-friendly films for brunch that the whole family will love: A League of Their OwnThe Bad News Bears, and The Sandlot. All movies are rated PG. 

Music of Queen for Kids - Brooklyn Bowl
Through April 21, 2019 - Williamsburg

The Rock and Roll Playhouse, a weekly family concert series hosted at Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre and Industry City, allows kids to "move, play and sing while listening to works from the classic-rock canon" (NY Times). Using the songs created by the most iconic musicians in rock history, The Rock and Roll Playhouse offers its core audience of babies and kids games, movement, and stories and an opportunity to rock out — this session's artist is Queen. The Rock and Roll Playhouse is an early and often first introduction to a child's lifelong journey with live music and rock and roll.

McCarren Park Greenmarket Saturday - McCarren Park

This much-loved Saturday market bridges the burgeoning Williamsburg community and long-time Greenpoint Polish communities who come to shop, mingle with neighbors, and enjoy McCarren Park. Open since 1997, this market has adapted to the changing face of the neighborhood while staying true to its loyal customers. People line up ten deep to purchase bottles of fresh milk and yogurt; an array of meat including grass-fed beef, pork, chicken, and rabbit draws its own crowd. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are piled high, and honey, preserves, baked goods, eggs, and juice keep the crowds pleased year-round. 

Bargemusic 'Music in Motion' Family Concerts - Brooklyn Bridge Park

Become a scientist at the newest exhibit! Introducing Science + You, where children and adults can learn about human health and nutrition, scientific tools, and the methods scientists use for problem solving, investigation, and experimentation.

Collect germ cells using a magnetic antibody wand before depositing them into white blood cells; practice using a centrifuge and learn about other amazing sorting machines; and get creative in the test kitchen while learning about balanced and healthy meals.

Artist-led workshops are offered weekday evenings for all ages and levels of experience on a monthly membership basis. Supplies and instruction are included in the low-cost membership fee (unlimited monthly sessions $60/month, one-time registration fee $10) with financial aid available upon request. A variety of media and techniques are explored including drawing, painting, collage and mixed-media. Plus monthly museum visits.

Life Symphony: The Origins - Triskelion Arts

Life Symphony: The Origins by Alternative Synergy Alternative Synergy the Company (ASTC), with two sold-out full productions in 2018, "ASTC The Debut" and "ASTC The Debut Part II," is proud to present yet another phenomenal dance production — Life Symphony: The Origins. The dance performances include a combination of contemporary and street style dance techniques paired with a custom soundtrack by a Brooklyn-based recording artist, Busy Beds, and mixed by Italian sound engineer Good Things Record. Life Symphony: The Origins is character driven, with each story focusing on the struggles of expression of the inner artistic nature. The stories are derived from the choreographers' and dancers' real-life experiences, ranging from sincere to humorous while being universally accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The hour-long show will see the return of some of "The Debut's" most popular pieces, as well as at least 30 minutes of new, and have never been seen before pieces. The styles include Lite Feet, Popping, Stilettos, House, Flexing and a Contemporary. Life Symphony opens the doors to the exciting ASTC lineup of performances for the company in 2019. A journey into humanity, talent, challenge and community. Directed by Founder and Director of Choreography of ASTC, Amanda Spilinga.

Learn about Afrofuturism through a toolbox containing books, materials, and prompts to guide creating. Each visit to ColorLab will offer new ways to experiment with art and new ideas to explore. CP Soccer for Kids With Cerebral Palsy - Cadman Plaza

CP soccer is a league for kids with cerebral palsy, hemiplegia or traumatic brain injury to play soccer with peers just like them. Kids must be ambulatory and be able to run and kick a ball. Training each Sunday by special coaches trained for CP soccer. Boys and girls are welcome and no prior experience with soccer is required.

New York Road Runners Open Run - Pier 6, Brooklyn Bridge Park

Open Run is a new community-based initiative that empowers local volunteers to bring free weekly runs to local neighborhood parks all over NYC. All runs are directed by volunteers and are free to all participants. The finish line is open until the last person is done. The courses vary based on park, but they are between 2½-3 miles.

Participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the run and to leave their valuables at home as bag check is not provided. No need to do anything before the run, just show up. Open to all ages, experience levels, walkers, strollers, dogs: All are welcome.
