2019 Bunny Express - Westbrook Lane Station

Shake off that winter chill and celebrate spring with a visit from the Easter Bunny! Climb aboard the vintage trains at Kingston Plaza station for a ride across the Hurley Flats to Hurley Mountain and return. Enjoy the sights and sounds of classic railroading as your train climbs the grade up Hurley Mountain, following the same rail route travelers have used since the 1860s. Passengers will disembark to take part in an Easter egg hunt and visit with the friendly Easter Bunny and his pal the mischievous Fernando The Fox before returning to Kingston. Please allow up to one hour from the complete train ride experience.

'Elemental Forces' Exhibit - Rockland Center for the Arts

Identifying renewable energy sources is an important issue facing humanity going forward. It is a task requiring the collaboration of scientists, entrepreneurs, businesses, governments and consumers. How can the artist play a role in advancing the emergence of renewable energy? How can artists help inspire dreams of what might be and work towards a better future? This public art exhibit invited artists to create sculptures using renewable energy utilizing solar, wind, and geothermal to the potential of alternative energy. These sculptures set in The Catherine Konner Sculpture Park harness a component of renewable energy.

Artists include: Professor Robert Dell, Jeff Kahn, James Murray, Aurora Robson, Peter & Cassie Strasser, and Chuck von Schmidt.

The Edward Hopper House offers ongoing family art workshops related to the artwork on display in the main gallery. Filling a gap in arts education in public schools, this workshop program gives families immediate access to high quality art while offering insights into the exhibitions and local history presented at Edward Hopper House. Hop Into Art is free with the accompanying guardians' admission to the House. This is not a drop-off event.
