Crafting and Campfire - Tenafly Nature Center

Design winter decorations using natural materials. The program begins in the Visitor Center where participants will design winter decorations and seasonal ornaments. Afterwards the group will adjourn to the pavilion for s'mores and hot cocoa in front of a cozy fire. Registration is required.

'PAW Patrol Live!' - New Jersey Performing Arts Center

Ryder and the rescue dogs of Nick Jr.’s hit animated series PAW Patrol are on a roll with their action-packed, first-ever live tour! It's the day of the Great Race between Adventure Bay’s Mayor Goodway and Foggy Bottom’s Mayor Humdinger, but Mayor Goodway is nowhere to be found. Luckily, PAW Patrol comes to the rescue! Ryder summons Marshall, Chase, Skye, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, and the newest pup, Everest, to rescue Mayor Goodway and to run the race in her place. Primitive Living Skills Workshops - Threefold Education Center

The Nature Place Day Camp’s Primitive Living Skills is an immersive, hands-on (and hands-in—the fire pit, the dirt, the stream) weekend program, designed to build a foundation in ancestral skills such as shelter building, water procurement, fire building, and methods of obtaining food. Sessions are available for children, adults, and families. Perfect for beginners as well as those looking to ?grow their knowledge and abilities?! Participants can sign up for a single session or a series. On December 9th, we will have one session for children (ages 10-14) @ 10 AM, and one for adults (ages 17 and up) @ 2 PM! Nunnbetter Dance Theatre's 'The Nutcracker' - Bergen County Academies

The Nutcracker presented by Nunnbetter Dance Theatre: For nearly twenty years Nunnbetter Dance Theatre has produced one of Bergen County's most beautifully staged productions of The Nutcracker. This timeless classic features professional NYC dancers as well as local students and is a holiday treat not to be missed. Come and experience the magic as Clara enters the Land of Sweets and is met by the tiniest of Angels, an army of Mice, elegant dancers from far off lands, and of course the Sugar Plum Fairy herself. Hailed as one of Bergen County's best holiday family events, NDT's production of The Nutcracker is a treat for young and old.

The Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble Presents 'The Nutcracker' - North Rockland High School and Rockland Community College

The Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble (RYDE) will once again perform the Nutcracker with a junior company and a senior company early in December. The Junior company will perform at North Rockland High School on December 2nd and 3rd and the Senior Company will perform at Rockland Community College December 8th, 9th and 10th. Santaland - Macy's

An annual tradition for so many families, visiting Santaland at Macy's means entering a fantasy world of glittering pine trees, snow-capped mountains, twinkling lights, cuddly animals, and gingerbread cookies. The 13,000-square-foot Christmas Village is filled with holiday treasures, the biggest of which is Santa Claus himself. After meeting Santa, guests can buy a photo package with images taken by on-site staff. This year, visits are by reservation only.

16th Annual Holiday Train Show - Transit Museum Gallery Annex & Store, Grand Central Terminal

Kids can watch in awe as little Lionel trains roll along a 34-foot-long, two-level track that looks just like a mini NYC with a nearby countryside. The scenery even includes its very own North Pole. Plus, parents will love spying vintage trains from the Transit Museum’s collection.

Public Ice Skating - Wollman Rink

Ice skating out in the crisp city air with an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline is a classic NYC winter experience. And Central Park's famous rink is a tourist favorite, but completely worth doing even if you are a local. There is also a skating school, a hockey program, and birthday party offerings on the ice. Check out the nearby carousel for $3 a ride in between skates.

Ice Skating Season - The Rink at Rockefeller Center
Through April 01, 2018 - Midtown

The new season opens with this ceremonial first skate hosted by the reigning Olympic Ice Dance Champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Youth skaters of Ice Theatre of New York and Figure Skating in Harlemwill join for this celebratory session. 

The Rink at Rockefeller Center is always the first New York rink to open each year and is open to the public daily from 8:30am-12am, from Columbus Day to Easter. First designed as a temporary attraction, The Rink has evolved into one of the city’s most legendary landmarks and one of the most visited sites in Manhattan.
