Maple Sugaring - Tenafly Nature Center

Learn how to identify a maple tree. Discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way we gather sap over the centuries. The group will check Tenafly Nature Center's tapped tree and boil down sap to make fresh, warm maple syrup, a sweet treat for all to taste. Rain or shine. Dress warmly. Registration is required.

Rock Steady Yoga Kids: Tween Flow - Wholeness Center

Rock Steady Yoga Tween Flow: for ages 10-12

Facilitated by Deirdre O'Reilly,  this class is specifically designed for tweens allowing for the opportunity to build strength and flexibility while relieving the stress of daily life. Along with active yoga poses, balance poses, partner poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation, journaling, music, art, and games will also be weaved into the classes. Public Ice Skating - Wollman Rink
Through February 28, 2018 - Central Park

Ice skating out in the crisp city air with an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline is a classic NYC winter experience. And Central Park's famous rink is a tourist favorite, but completely worth doing even if you are a local. There is also a skating school, a hockey program, and birthday party offerings on the ice. Check out the nearby carousel for $3 a ride in between skates.

Ice Skating Season - The Rink at Rockefeller Center
Through April 01, 2018 - Midtown

The new season opens with this ceremonial first skate hosted by the reigning Olympic Ice Dance Champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White. Youth skaters of Ice Theatre of New York and Figure Skating in Harlemwill join for this celebratory session. 

The Rink at Rockefeller Center is always the first New York rink to open each year and is open to the public daily from 8:30am-12am, from Columbus Day to Easter. First designed as a temporary attraction, The Rink has evolved into one of the city’s most legendary landmarks and one of the most visited sites in Manhattan.
